Since 2017
Since 2017, I have worked with the Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research (IPTAR) to modernize its institutional brand and develop a comprehensive marketing and outreach strategy. The collaboration marked a shift from analog operations to a fully integrated digital ecosystem supporting communication, education, and clinical services.
Founded in 1958, IPTAR began as a membership society for psychoanalysts devoted to Freud’s theory and practice. Today, it remains a vibrant professional association dedicated to advancing psychoanalysis through education, clinical service, and research.
When I began collaborating with IPTAR, most of its communications and administrative processes were still handled manually. The leadership sought a strategic partner who could guide a gradual digital transformation—strengthening the institutional brand while introducing technology at a pace aligned with the organization’s culture.
My role combined strategic advisory, design direction, and digital systems implementation, enabling IPTAR to evolve while preserving its intellectual and community-driven foundations.

Challenge
IPTAR faced the challenge of assimilating technology within a legacy institutional culture rooted in analog communication. Multiple daily touchpoints existed between the organization and its members—each sensitive to changes in workflow and brand identity. The key challenge was introducing modernization without disrupting internal dynamics or alienating members.
Solution
I led a phased digital transformation strategy designed to progressively integrate technology into IPTAR’s operations and public presence. Each phase aligned new tools—such as CRM systems, digital marketing channels, and a HIPAA-compliant app—with the organization’s goals and existing culture.
The rebrand unified IPTAR’s institutional identity across print and digital platforms, establishing visual and strategic coherence across all communications—from clinical services to training programs and community outreach.
